TRIB3 JOURNEYS

 

Since TRIB3 opened we have LOVED to witness our members success stories, it shows why we do what we do!! To take a look at some of the members journeys keep reading…

 

Joe Hall…

  

In the last 4 years (2014-2017) my weight sky rocketed. I had done a half marathon in 2014 and was getting to a stage where I was reasonably fit, but after breaking my arm I got out of the habit and never properly returned until I found TRIB3. Since I turned 25, I struggled to cope with life pressures, I felt like I wasn’t where I wanted to be and as a result I faced some minor mental health battles. Like many people in their mid twenties, my only turning point was a weekend alcohol binge, every weekend! After years of doing this, it eventually took its toll; I ballooned to 18 stone 1 in December 2017!
I was nicknamed the Walrus by my closest friends due to my extremely loud snoring, no doubt caused by the excessive visceral fat around my organs, and my general sluggish appearance probably didn’t help. I refused to blame myself though, it just wasn’t me! After a series of blood tests, the doctors told me I had a fatty liver and needed to cut down on the booze and lose 20% of my bodyweight! As an ‘All or nothing’ type of guy, I decided enough was enough! It was my time to give up drinking and unlock the inner athlete in me.
When I started TRIB3 I used to get nervous before every session. I had to clutch on to the railings on the treadmill, I needed to lie down on the boxes in resistance zone for a breather and the intensity zone felt like a war on my body! I could only commit to 2 sessions per week as I found it so tough! I was pretty useless! I couldn’t even wear a MyZone belt because it was too tight around my body.
Fast forward 9 months and its a different ball game! I’ve now done 225 sessions which has come from 27 STEEL WEEKS! I attend most days without fail, often doing double sessions. I regularly sprint at 12.5mph on the treadmill, I pick up the 15kg’s in the resistance and I now declare war on the intensity zone each time I step in! All my mental health demons have been put aside and drinking is now a choice, not a need! Weight wise I’ve lost 5 and a half stone in 9 months. I’ve got the metabolic age of a 19 year old and reduced my body fat by 30%! It’s fair to say TRIB3 has changed my life.

 

Tracey Edmond…

I shed 3 stone in 8 months by training 2-3 times a week at TRIB3.  I cannot believe I stuck to my goal but I am super proud that I did. The team at TRIB3 supported me and I appreciate all they have done for me.

 

Claire Wilson…

I had a mission to complete 365 TRIB3 sessions throughout the whole of 2018. . . I completed 353 of them whilst pregnant. The members and staff were behind me all of the way and they definitely kept me going.

 

Lindsay Jones…

You can choose your friends, you can’t choose your family . . . BUT TRIB3 is a family you WOULD choose. Since starting TRIB3 I have 100% gained friends for life.

 

Sarah Watson…

I have been at TRIB3 since it opened at Meadowhall in January 2017. It’s like my second home, it is very addictive and I have made so many great friends here. Following an operation during the summer, TRIB3 helped me rebuild my strength to get back training again. I competed in TRIB3 Games 2018 which was one of my goals this year.

 

Neil Rushby…

I had a great day doing the Steel Day (9 TRIB3 sessions in 1 day). We started at 6:30am and received great support throughout the day from all of the team at TRIB3 and the members who joined in on the classes. I burnt 8300 calories and did just over 42,000 steps. I will definitely do it again. #TEAMTRIB3

 

Natasha Iqbal…

Since joining TRIB3 not only have I built my strength and stamina, I have built the confidence to run, pick up weights and do exercises I have never done. I have found the love and passion for training, I have lost 3 stone in a year along the side of Slimming World. TRIB3 has made me more toned, I have lost inches off of my body and I will never look back.

 

Daba Nazir…

In late 2016 I discovered TRIB3. I walked past the Ecclesall branch decided to call in and this was it..my love for TRIB3 began! At first I thought this is not my kind of thing it appears too intense, difficult and robust but believe me my mind soon changed. As a mother of 3 I always carried the mindset of it will happen when I’m ready, let the babies grow older, I have no time etc. I truly was mistaken. I reflect back and regret not starting sooner. The fitness instructors are amazingly talented each and individual possesses unique skills and style. My favourite so far is Ben Mahmoud despite all the banter we ladies have around the big meaty muscular legs he has but simply his teaching approach is incredible. I attend at least 3-4 sessions a week even more if can. I’ve grown along with Trib3 and now feel there is no turning back. This place has helped me physically and mentally to grow and outgrow all the negativity I was moulded in.  I spend more time in this place then I do anywhere and I simply love it.  I have discovered the new me and I don’t waste time dwelling on what other people say or think how I look or what I do. The satisfaction I have is once I attend a session at TRIB3 my mind and body feels good and that’s what counts. So if your thinking to begin your fitness journey then it is not too late. We sweat together at TRIB3 and we all are a family. We support and help each other. This place has changed me and it can change you too! Thank you TRIB3 for giving me the opportunity in sharing my experience!
