Meet Natasha Gardner; Operations Manager UK
People are what makes TRIB3 so special. From our franchise partners, our coaches and experience teams at our stores, to our central support team, we’re fortunate to be surrounded by incredibly passionate and hardworking people Natasha has been with TRIB3 since the early days , starting out at TRIB3 Sheffield on the experience team, going onto coach and manage within the store and now holding the role of Operations Manager, leading our network of UK stores.
Let’s hear directly from Natasha about her journey with TRIB3.
How did you join the TRIB3 family?
Ever since I was young, I was always very passionate about fitness and sports. I have been involved in so many different sports throughout my life and have loved taking part in all of them. This passion brought me to Sheffield, a place thatwill forever be close to my heart, where I studied my undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Through being part of the rowing team at my university, I met some incredible people who gave me the opportunity to work at TRIB3 and become part of the family. I haven’t looked back since!
What do you think is the biggest challenge today when it comes to women in fitness?
Self-belief and confidence, as this can stop you from achieving the simplest tasks, and ultimately, your biggest goals. Everyone has self-doubt and I say this from experience, but it’s how you reflect on it, how you overcome it, push past your insecurities, and grow mentally. Social media has also had a massive negative effect on people’s confidence, as you often find yourself making constant comparisons to people you don’t even know. We need to focus on using social media in a positive way by channelling this energy to better ourselves, lift each other up and always support others around us.
What has been one of the highlights working at TRIB3 thus far?
Throughout my years at TRIB3 and the amazing experiences I have daily, I would say, and always will say, that one of the main highlights is definitely the people. Getting to meet, recruit and work with so many great, hardworking individuals who live and breathe our values is so inspiring!
Who has been the biggest influence on your career? Who do you turn to for advice?
There is not one particular person that inspires me. There are a lot of great people in the world, and I am so lucky to work and have daily contact with people who really keep me on my path and motivated. From my family, friends and my TRIB3 team, whom without knowing, have a huge impact on my beliefs and life. Whether that be any new creative content developed for our product or having deep knowledgeable conversations, all my interactions with these people have helped guide and support me to be better. For this I am so grateful!
What does a typical day look like for you?
My role as UK Operations Manager is diverse, meaning every day is different, whether it be connecting with the wider support team on product and strategy, visiting or opening new stores or even having a day to complete all actions generated; my focus through my day is simple - supporting the stores and all team members involved to deliver next level workout experiences.
What was your childhood dream job?
I was always one to try new things, so I did have a few childhood dream jobs whilst growing up, one being a zookeeper, the other wanting to find my way as an artist, but in the end, I found the love for sports, fitness and training – which has always been a passion of mine.
How do you relax?
Fitness and training helps keep me focused and feeling energised. But I also do enjoy, when I get chance, to take my acrylic paints and brushes out and get a little creative.
Tell us a little-known fact about you?
In my spare time I volunteer to coach and play netball for DNC.
What excites you about the future?
To witness the growth of TRIB3 and the next level workout experience we will provide globally, whilst watching the journey of everyone involved grow.
