What advice would you share with other studio managers or anyone thinking about being a studio manager?

As a Studio Manager, effective communication and organisation are key! I try to use clear communication with the TRIB3 team and members, and maintain an effective day-to-day running of the studio. Time management is essential to keep projects on track. Additionally, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere with coaches and front of house team keeps the work environment great! Don’t forget to be kind to yourself - It can get overwhelming at times, so ask for help if you need it and take some time out to readjust and re-energise. The role is exceptionally rewarding and hearing positive feedback from our TRIB3Rs is always the best feeling in the world!

As we approach TRIB3 Cherrywood's first anniversary, how would you recap the year?

TRIB3 Cherrywood’s first year was a rollercoaster (in the best way!). It all happened so fast and I cannot believe we are almost open one year. In being the first TRIB3 to open in Ireland, we had to really focus on brand awareness when launching and introducing TRIB3 as a brand-new product to Dublin, but it wasn’t long after our opening that we saw our TRIB3 community come together. The connections we have made with our TRIB3Rs over the last 11 months is amazing, and I think the whole team here in Dublin would agree! We have cultivated such a great community.

Tell us a bit about the community engagement and collaborations implemented at TRIB3 Cherrywood in the last year.

We have hosted and collaborated with brands such as MyProtein, Lululemon and Nocco to promote top quality workout gear and nutrition drinks. Pro Coffee and C-11 Recovery Rooms have been on site with their brands too. Our TRIB3Rs jump at every opportunity to be part of an event. Hosting longer classes such as The Zone every bank holiday weekend and The Beast every few months has shown how TRIB3Rs are always up for the challenge! We have also partnered with local Football, Hockey and GAA teams who love to train with us pre-season to get in shape for upcoming matches. We held our first ever TRIB3 Games Event which was absolutely electric from start to finish! Big well done to all those who participated and absolutely smashed the workouts!

Reflecting on your experience with TRIB3 Cherrywood, what advice would share with a Studio Manager or Franchise Partner who is approaching their first opening?

Take your time learning the brand and processes carefully. Nothing can prepare you for that first opening week when your classes are packed and everybody is a first timer, so know the CRM and Heart Rate System inside and out. Also, coaching a full house for the first time can be considerably overwhelming so just have fun with it and make everybody sweat and smile - that’s what they are there for! Take time for yourself also. Disconnect when possible, at the end of each day to relax and realign your energy so you are ready to rock the next day ahead! You will feel so switched on 24/7 at this point, so it is very important to make a conscious effort to disconnect so you don’t get burnt out.

High points and low points so far?

High points: cultivating an amazing team of coaches and front house employees. We have made friends for life! Connections and bonds made with TRIB3Rs. Atmosphere in classes is electric! Events – there’s always such a great buzz around the events we hold, including the TRIB3 Games 2023 and The Beast workouts.

Low Points: Trial and error with sales processes. You must try things out at the beginning and learn from your mistakes. This is what makes us improve every day. New ideas come from past mistakes and that’s how we become successful in the end.

What are your goals for 2024?

Continue to learn and grow. This is just the beginning for TRIB3 Ireland! We are ready to welcome new TRIB3Rs, new coaches new front-of-house team members to new locations this year. We want to continue to cultivate such an amazing community.
