TRIB3 in Amsterdam: Meet our new franchise partners
Who’s ready for TRIB3 Amsterdam? We recently announced that we’d reached an exciting milestone in our expansion securing the Netherlands as our sixth international territory. We could not be more excited to welcome our new franchise partners, Milan and Mina Sapardic, to the global TRIB3 family.
Milan, originally from Bosnia, and his wife Mina, from Serbia, grew up in Austria and then moved to Amsterdam. Both of them have always been passionate about movement and sports; Milan playing football since he was young and Mina participating in gymnastics and tennis. She later went on to study nutrition and obtained a personal training certification as her first step into a career of fitness. While he was looking for the next step in his fitness career, Milan was drawn to TRIB3 for it’s strong brand identity and bold, disruptive personality. Having spent two years working at a boutique fitness studio in Amsterdam, he was ready to begin his own adventure.
Let’s hear it from Milan directly as to what drove him to begin his own franchise and join the TRIB3 family.
How did you first hear about TRIB3?
I’m extremely passionate about all things sports and training and enjoy finding and following disruptive brands. When I began thinking about my next career step, I started to do my own research into franchisor boutique brands. I stumbled upon TRIB3 online and really liked what the brand was offering.
What was the key thing that really drew you to TRIB3?
There were several reasons why TRIB3 stood out to me, but I would have to narrow it down to the studio design, the branding, and the product. TRIB3 is a very focused concept with a very clear identity of who we are and what we do. I also really enjoy the workout as it’s very similar to how I personally prefer to train.
What did you like most about the TRIB3 opportunity?
I found myself strongly identifying with the TRIB3 brand and really liked the support their incredible team provides with the partnership. When I first met with the team, I had a great first impression as you can tell the team is built on great relationships, encourage sharing ideas, and work closely with their franchise partners. It’s exciting to get involved with a growing brand with ambitious goals, while still being a concept that I closely align with.
Why did you go down the franchise route?
Ever since I was younger, I always had the desire to create my own business. As the years went on, my desire evolved more and more into wanting to start something in the fitness industry. To be honest, I still felt like I did not have enough knowledge and experience to be ready to start something from scratch so that’s why I began looking at franchising opportunities. It was great getting to know the TRIB3 team as they provide so much guidance and support in all areas. It was an opportunity of high value I couldn’t pass up.
Did the pandemic affect you starting your own business venture?
The pandemic actually increased and strengthened my desire to start my own business as I was ready to take the wheel myself and become my own boss. The pandemic was a period of reflection and really propelled me to seriously start thinking about my future.
How will TRIB3 fit in to the Amsterdam market?
The fitness industry is already well established in Amsterdam with several boutiques brands popping up over the last few years. They all do a great job, adding their own personality and unique touches to their concepts, but there’s nothing quite like TRIB3 in Amsterdam. TRIB3 will be a powerful addition to the existing brands, as it’s different and has its own appeal. I’m excited to be the one to bring the first TRIB3 store to this market.
What advice would you give to other people looking to start a TRIB3 franchise?
Go ahead and take the first step. A lot of people are hesitant about the hurdles and problems that could arise with starting a new business but that’s exactly why a franchise is the perfect way to go. You get the experience and knowledge from people who know exactly what they’re doing, while also receiving a lot of support. I firmly believe that it’s important to listen to your gut, and if it feels right, go for it. If you have the desire to start but aren’t sure how or where to, reach out and get in contact with TRIB3. I’m glad I did and I can’t wait for this new beginning.
