Vanessa joined the TRIB3 family in April 2021. Born in Brazil but raised in Spain, she moved to England at the age of 19 to learn English and start her career in tourism. She recently moved to Manchester to join the franchise development team at TRIB3’s new headquarters, heading up franchises sales across Spain, one of our key markets and home to three TRIB3 stores currently, with four further units planned. Three stores will open in Barcelona later in 2021 and one new franchised store is joining three current locations in Madrid very soon, growing our footprint in Spain to seven stores before year end.

Hear directly from Vanessa about why she joined TRIB3, her background and next steps for our expansion in Spain.

What drew you to TRIB3?

I have always been interested in the fitness industry but I never had the opportunity to work in the sector . When I was given the opportunity to join TRIB3 and move to Manchester I was so excited, I didn't think twice! I really liked what the company had to offer and the franchise business model, it was motivating to join the fitness industry with a powerful brand that’s growing quickly.

I have been with the company since the 19th of April and all I can say is that it has been a unique and really positive experience. I love the team, the energy and the spirit of TRIB3.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I follow a routine to have a good weekly rhythm in place. I tend to always have the week planned as I like to have everything organised and know what I have to do each day, ahead of time.

The first thing I do in the morning is check across each channel and analyse the results and what new leads have come in and get prepared for any discovery calls or sessions. During the discovery session with the prospective franchisee, in addition to enquiring about how they heard about us and what they are looking for, I share with them the history of TRIB3 and walk them through our business model. Once my initial calls are done, I schedule future calls, meetings and visits to the studios we have in Spain, with the help of our team there.

I also follow up with those I have been in contact with previously to find out how I can help them, see what they need, and connect them with the larger team so they can move further down their franchise journey. I count a lot on the support of the whole team, which I think is something fundamental when it comes to helping potential franchisees make the final decision and close the deal. Teamwork is extremely important to us and it’s something that franchisees notice, that we are here to support each other while also giving them the necessary support throughout the entire process.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career? Who do you turn to for advice?

My mother and my grandmother. They both have always motivated me continuously and pushed me to get to where I am today. I will always be grateful for them, they are my biggest supports.

What was your childhood dream job?

I wanted to be so many things! Singer, dancer, actress, even a doctor. Every week I had a different profession in mind but the job that interested me the most as I was growing up was surprisingly enough an archaeologist or detective.

How do you relax?

When I can, I love to travel. I previously worked for Iberia Airlines so I have travelled quite a bit. Travelling relaxes me and allows me to disconnect and discover new places. Given the current situation, I spend my free time watching series and movies on Netflix, with my favourite series right now being La Reina del Flow, it’s addicting!

Tell us a little known-fact about you?

I love taking and collecting pictures of sunsets. Everywhere I travel to and go, I always take a picture of the sunset and save it to a dedicated folder in my phone.
